As a shuppet, I had a trainer. A beautiful, lovely, caring trainer. Catey.

With her heart of pure innocence and gold, I grew attached and loved her more than anything you could imagine.

Everything would be alright with her.
...
Nothing would change.
...
She will be with me forever.
...
I would be her pokemon forever.
...
She would be my trainer forever.

"My trainer with the heart of gold." I used to tell myself. "And it would always be like that. Always....always...."

It would have been like that, too.
If that never happened.
If he never showed up.



Him and his lies.




It would have been another normal, happy day with Catey. She would care for me and make me the happiest shuppet "alive," persay, once again today. But during this time she was gaining some sort of interest in one boy, Akuji, that she's noticed around the neighborhood.

Interest...not as in a love interest...but just....she developed a curiosity about him in a sense.

He seemed to live on the edge, in a way....at least, that's how Catey put it. To me; he was just a trouble maker who could never be truly happy, like I was.

In a way, he seemed distant....and....not like Catey. He was more cold to his pokemon and wasn't as loving to them as Catey. Him and his purple-self.*

Well, Catey decided to follow Akuji and see his training techniques in training his pokemon. Although, Catey didn't have any pokemon besides me, I didn't want to stalk him because of a bad feeling I had about him. I urged her not to go, but she insisted. So, to keep my mind off the troubles, I followed her so she wouldn't be so careless as to get into trouble with this kid.

*While watching from a bush, I could not believe what I saw.
"You better master this attack, Gardevoir or else you’ll suffer the consequences....Now, again!" he yelled at the psychic Pokemon.

The Gardevoir nodded, she made a tiny little ball of light, but nothing happened.
Akuji huffed, kicking the dirt on the ground towards Gardevoir, "I don’t know why I bother!"

Gardevoir’s eyes filled with tears. I watched the Gardevoir and the boy. The boy ran off, leaving the Gardevoir in the darkness. Tears ran down the Pokemon’s cheeks.*

But before Catey and I were able to get out of our spot and console the hurt pokemon, it seemed to gain some self-confidence and chased after Akuji's now-faint presence. Gardevoirs are too loyal to their trainers, if you ask me.

"....poor dear." Catey said. A pity look was on her face and I knew she couldn't bare with the fact Akuji was treating his pokemon like...like... .... ....like that!

We both decided later we were going to have a little "talk" with this mister Zane Akuji.

But something decided for us that we would never see each other afterwards...

I streched, waking from my nap. Being a shuppet at that time meant I didn't really have my full potential and I needed to work whenever I could to evolve and become a Banette.

But working out leaves one like me so tired so I always nap with Catey by a tree...however....

Today, when I looked to where I last saw her, she was no longer there.

"...Catey?" I said. Looking around. After a look around town, I figured she had gone to meet Akuji by herself..."Oh no."

I dashed as fast as I could to find her. I looked. And looked...and looked. I didn't find her....then I thought she went back to where we last saw Akuji and his Gardevoir. So I flew there as fast as I could; I couldn't help it, I was worried.

And I had every right to be.

When I got to the clearing, I saw not only Akuji and Catey. But I saw Gardevoir and a Ninetails, as well. Shock ran throughout my body.

Ninetails? What could it possibly be doing here?...then I noticed the now decreased Gardevoir next to him/her. (I could never tell.) Akuji, the creep, had ran away.

And there, on the ground, was Catey. I had no idea what had just happened...but her body...it was getting colder and colder. "How...?"

I tried helping her up while trying to keep myself from crying. I had a bad feeling about this...
She didn't budge, but she did smile at me.

"Catey...Catey, please...Don't go." I begged her.

She laughed weakly. "Go..? Heh-heh, I'm not going anywhere..." her voice was fading...along with her life.

"Please...I...I don't want to be alone! We were supposed to be together forever! PLEASE!"

She just smiled. She gave me a kiss on my ghost-head, taking up the last of her energy. Her last words muffled and faded so I couldn't even understand. It was dreadful.

Akuji. This is all his fault. That...that....THAT---
